Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Igboho, is a Yoruba nation activist who has called on traditional leaders in the Southwest to aid him in driving out banditry and criminality from the area.

Igboho declared he would work with traditional leaders to end insecurity in the Southwest once and for all. He bemoaned in a signed statement that the region’s farmer-herder crisis and deaths were caused by insecurity.
“I applaud the idea and reassure them that, with the support of the appropriate security agencies, Yoruba monarchs, and other stakeholders, I will make every effort to stop the spread of insecurity.
Farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs have been forced out of Yorubaland farm settlements due to insecurity and threats brought on by banditry, herders/farmers clashes that result in fatalities, and massive destruction of farmlands.
“We must drive out the criminal elements that have taken over our forests and are utilizing them as staging areas to threaten the tranquility of our towns, villages, and amulets. In this regard, I’m prepared to offer my support,” he declared.
