In the Ojota region of the state, Odofin and other criminals posing as Yoruba Nation Agitators attacked and interfered with social and business operations.
During the violent assault by the miscreants, two police officers were shot, and at least one victim was confirmed deceased.

Olamilekan Odofin escaped and stayed elusive for a year, while four suspects were apprehended right away by a group of police officers from Alausa Division and the Rapid Response Squad, or RRS.

The sought-after culprit has been taken into custody, according to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, who made the announcement on Friday.
The PPRO stated that the event is still being investigated in a post on his official X Twitter.

“34-year-old Olamilekan Odofin has been arrested by officers of Ayobo Division after more than a year on the run,” the author said.

On January 9, 2023, the suspect encouraged attacks on drivers and law enforcement while disguising his actions as Yoruba Nation agitation. An investigation is still underway.
