Eight family members were confirmed dead by police in the Imo disaster.
At least eight family members were confirmed dead by Imo State police in an automobile accident that happened at the Amanwozuzu intersection in the Ikeduru Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The regrettable occurrence was reported to newsmen in Owerri on Friday by Lucky Ahiole, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) overseeing the Ikeduru Local Government Area.
All eight people who were being transported in a Sienna car perished in the accident, which happened on Friday at approximately three o’clock in the afternoon, according to the DPO.
He added that the victims perished when the Sienna car struck a halted truck that was transporting rods.
We have brought the eight deceased to a morgue.
He said, “To get the dead bodies out, we had to break into the Sienna vehicle.”
