As he was transporting the stolen bull in a blue Gulf saloon to Gujungu market, where he planned to sell it, the suspect was apprehended at approximately 1100 hours during a stop and search security check conducted by the NSCDC to checkmate illegalities along Hadejia-Gujungu road, he said.
The investigation, according to Tijjani, showed that the suspect and one Malam Buba—who is currently at large—colluded to steal the bull from an unidentified herder while it was grazing in “an open space in one of the bushes in Iwo village, Kirikasamma LGA on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at around 1800hrs which they said has separated from the rest.”
