After declaring that the kidnappers were being pursued by the police, Abdullahi asked anyone with pertinent information about the incident to get in touch with the police or any other security organization.
“Ten people were kidnapped in Wuro Musa at approximately 00.40 hours,” he stated.
Speaking with DAILY POST, a few community members encouraged the state government to work with the security services in order to save the victims’ lives.
It was reported that the abductors descended upon the region in large numbers, intermittently firing into the air to intimidate the locals and keep them from reaching their intended targets.
The homeowners also mentioned that no security personnel were visible during the several hours the kidnappers were operating.
In contrast to the numbers released by the police, the locals informed our reporter that 13 people—four of them were women—had been abducted.
