National Hospital debunk claims, said she did no refer Actor, Zack Orji to private medical facility
Zack Orji, a seasoned Nollywood actor, was not sent to a private hospital by the National Hospital Abuja (NHA).
This is stated in a statement that the Chief Medical Director, through NHA spokesperson Tayo Haastrup, signed.
According to a hospital spokesman, the actor was stabilized and transferred to the ENT ward after being taken in on New Year’s Eve and admitted to the intensive care unit.
Later on, according to Haastrup, he was moved to the orthopaedic ward, where doctors started getting him ready for surgery.
“The National Hospital Abuja has been made aware of a publication that suggests the Apex hospital sent Nigerian actor Zack Orji to a private hospital in Abuja,” he stated.
“To correct the record, National Hospital Abuja stabilized the actor who was taken in on New Year’s Eve and admitted to the intensive care unit before moving him to the ENT ward. He was moved to the orthopaedic ward later in the day, where our surgeons started getting him ready for surgery.
He claims that all of the plans for Orji’s surgery were foiled by the “Leaving Against Medical Advice” form that Orji’s relatives signed on January 1, 2024.
He remarked that the hospital’s management hoped for a quick recovery for the seasoned performer.
