Davido Said, His Main Prayer, Is To Win Grammy

Grammy victory is David Adeleke’s (aka Davido), the Nigerian afrobeats artist, daily prayer, he disclosed.

Avido is a 20224 Grammy nominee in three different categories.

While “Unavailable” and “Feel” were nominated in the categories for Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance, respectively, his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category.

Davido stated in a recent interview with GQ that he prays to win the prizes.

“Everyone knows what one of my prayer points is right now,” he declared. I have three Grammy nominations under my belt. Therefore, everyone is aware of my daily prayers when I wake up.

Along with Burna Boy, Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu, and Gaurav Shah, Davido will compete for the Best Global Music Performance award.

In addition, he would face off against Bokante, Susana Baca, Burna Boy, and Shakti for the Best Global Music Album title.

He is up against well-known performers in the Best African Music Performance category, including Tyla from South Africa, Asake, Ayra Starr, and Burna Boy.
