The assurance was provided by Edward Buba, Director, Defence Media activities, in the weekly report on military activities, which was released on Friday in Abuja.

He said that the armed forces understood the effect that kidnappings had on the relatives of the victims as well as the terror that it had recently caused in the community.
Buba went on to say that the army had prioritized areas where kidnapping cases had occurred, increasing ground and aerial monitoring over the regions in question.
He said that in addition to using technology to locate abduction gang hideouts and enclaves, operations to locate, undermine, and eliminate them have accelerated.
While the military forces may not now have all the answers, he said, civilians should be reassured that they are making every effort to handle the painful situation.
Troops are also working along with other security agencies and interested parties to look into and obtain additional information on these abduction groups, especially in the FCT.
“Areas cleared by military thus far in the FCT and its environs include Gidan Dogo, Kuyeri/Kuyeri Hills in Kaduna State, Garam, Jibi, and the back of Zuma Rock in Niger State, as well as Kawu, Gaba, Deidei, Kubwa Hills, and Ushafa in the FCT.
He added, “Among other places, Mpape, Kubwa, Lugbe, Pyakasa, Keti, Gbaupe, Gbaukuchi, and Airport Road have all seen increased night patrols.”
