In just two weeks, Funke Akindele’s Christmas feature film A Tribe Called Judah has made over half a billion dollars in revenue.
The Nigerian director Akindele claimed in an Instagram post that the film has made ₦613 million at the box office in her country. She expressed her gratitude to her admirers in the post, a sizable group of Nigerian cinema buffs who have supported her endeavors consistently ever since she initially became well-known as the lead in the Jenifa film trilogy.

Since its December 15, 2023, nationwide theatrical premiere, A Tribe Called Judah has not stopped shattering records. With an opening weekend gross of ₦113 million, it became the highest-grossing movie of 2023 and the highest-grossing Nollywood production ever.
