The Enugu State Supreme Court upholds Peter Mbah’s election.

 

The lead judge, Justice Mohammed Garba, rejected the claims made by others that Governor Mbah did not have a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate, calling them merely claims.
The Labour Party’s Chijioke Edeoga, the appellant, was the target of an appeal, and the court carefully considered each point brought forward.

Edeoga had gone to court to appeal the Court of Appeal’s ruling, which had earlier dismissed his lawsuit challenging the governor’s election.
The Lagos Division of the Appeal Court, presided over by Justice Tani Hassan, examined and addressed each of the appellant’s three points of contention in a unanimous ruling.

The panel came to the conclusion that Edeoga had not provided sufficient evidence to support his assertion that Governor Mbah was unfit to run for governor, emphasizing the significance of proof.

Chief Judge Tani Hassan’s lead decision The court emphasized the significance of accurate paperwork and ruled that the appeal was inadmissible due to the failure to offer the voter registration.
