Students of Al-Qualam University Kidnapped

The kidnapping of two of its students, who were on their way back from Niger State, has been verified by Al-Qalam University in Katsina State.
The event was confirmed by the institution’s spokesman, Malam Akilu Abubakar, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Katsina.

“We would want to address recent reports that two of our school’s female students were abducted on January 15, 2024. The kids were traveling from Niger State to Katsina in order to continue their education.
“They were in the commercial van with other passengers when they were kidnapped. While traveling to Katsina, they made their last communication with their families when they arrived in Zaria. Since the event did not take place at the institution, details about the circumstances surrounding their kidnapping are still few.
He said, “The students’ families have been contacted by the university, and they have confirmed the sad development.”
