Police Begins Search Of The Abductors Of Lagos State PDP Chairman

According to the Ogun State Police Command, they are pursuing those responsible for the kidnapping of Mr. Philip Aivoji, the chairman of the PDP’s Lagos chapter, who was abducted on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

This was said by State Police Commissioner Mr. Abiodun Alamutu on Friday in an interview with reporters in Abeokuta.

On Thursday night, unidentified individuals abducted Aivoji. He was kidnapped together with nine other party members along the Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

When they were kidnapped, it was reported that they were on their way back from the party’s Stakeholders’ Zonal Caucus Meeting in Ibadan.

The CP promised that the party chieftain’s kidnappers will be apprehended by the police.

In order to force the abductors to release nine of the abducted while taking the PDP Chairman away, the police had engaged the gunmen in a gunfight.

Indeed, on Thursday night at Ogere on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, they were abducted.

Nine of the victims were freed as a result of “our men engaging them,” he claimed, but the PDP chairman was carried away.
