The administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari owed the beneficiaries several months’ wages.
However, Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, stated that the arrears payments to recipients, which commenced on Wednesday, will go on until the final recipient is compensated.
On Thursday, Edu appeared as a guest on Politics Today on Channels Television.
“A payment for N-Power is currently in progress; we worked in the office yesterday till the wee hours of this morning to make sure that young people received the money that they were due from the previous administration.
“Therefore, N-Power beneficiaries all throughout the country, you can probably confirm that your money is showing up in your accounts. This process will go on until the last person who has actually served is compensated.
Naturally, all of this is being reorganized to guarantee that unemployment is decreased and jobs are created for Nigerians, according to Edu.
