President Tinubu Is Scheduled To Attend The Final Between Côte D’Ivoire And Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to attend the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 championship game between Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria.

During a press conference in Abidjan, Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football Federations, reaffirmed Tinubu’s intention to attend.

Motsepe said he was optimistic about the outcome and that he will talk to President Tinubu about the potential for Nigeria to host the World Cup once more. V

ice President Kashim Shettima witnessed Nigeria’s victory in the semi-finals as well. The AFCON 2023 final is scheduled for this Sunday at 9 p.m. Nigerian time. Discussions on Nigeria’s prospective World Cup bid may arise from this event.

At a news conference held in Abidjan on Friday, Motsepe expressed his excitement for Sunday’s final and said that President Tinubu would be among the attendees.

“I’ve been informed that Nigeria’s president is visiting.” The Vice President and I were seated next to one other during the Nigeria-South Africa match. “Nigeria needs to submit a bid,” he responded when asked if Africa might host the World Cup once more.
He disclosed that he would discuss it with President Tinubu on Sunday.

“You haven’t experienced Africa if you haven’t seen Lagos. He continued, praising Nigeria, saying, “As president of 54 member federations, I owe them all a duty, but I am proud of Nigeria.”

Vice President Kashim Shettima was there at the Super Eagles’ 4-2 penalty-filled victory over South Africa in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
The match between Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire in the AFCON 2023 final is set to begin on Sunday at 9 p.m. Nigerian time.

Talks of Nigeria perhaps hosting the World Cup again during President Tinubu’s presence may surface as anticipation for the match grows.
