Three police officers who were sacked and would soon face charges in court were paraded by the Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday. The policemen had been the subject of an orderly room trial for their involvement in armed robbery in Ijebu-Ode.

Inspector John Ogbe (AP/No 309292), Inspector Taiwo Kolawole (AP/No 341113), and Cpl Idowu Sunday (AP/No 513707) are the officers that were discharged. Each officer was affiliated with Ijebu-Ife, located in the state’s Ijebu East Local Government Area.
This coincides with the presentation of Abdul-Azeez Ibrahim, a suspected cultist, and a Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun student studying library and information science in relation to a string of kidnappings and armed robberies that have occurred in and around Ijebu Ode and its surroundings.
Ibrahim was reportedly taken into custody on Saturday, January 27 in Imaweje Ijebu in the state’s Odogbolu Local Government Area.
