Job Title: Marketing and Communications Lead

Job Summary

  • Responsible to provide result-oriented advertising and marketing activities designed to meet customer needs. To achieve sustainable business growth through market intelligence, creativity, and strategic vision, and to build an organization that attracts, develops, and retains outstanding people.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, implementing, and managing marketing communications concepts and programs to involve different stakeholders in line with the business strategy. Close collaboration with business representatives, marketing, and sales is required to ensure that the concepts and programs have content alignment and are feasible from a business standpoint.
  • In charge of creating, putting into action, evaluating, and refining communication strategies to support sales initiatives and meet business line goals while assuring the growth of cross-functional marketing projects.
  • Planning, organizing, and carrying out the annual marketing communications editorial calendar, storyline, and content across all communication platforms and materials to establish consistent internal and external messaging and brand equity.
  • Developing and maintaining communications materials to make sure that messages are incorporated into Motion segments messaging. Examples of these materials include internal articles, press releases, customer presentations, etc.
  • Assuring effective communication through various, pertinent trade media in accordance with the overall communication plan for increasing brand visibility.
  • Conducting research on, locating, and choosing outside marketing communications service providers; setting quality and delivery standards for tasks given to outside parties; keeping track of progress; and resolving problems.
  • Creating international promotional strategies that utilize trade shows, online advertising, print advertising, and other communication channels to promote goods, systems, and services over the course of their entire life cycles.
  • Establishing crucial goals and standards for marketing communications projects, as well as evaluating.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related area.
  • 5+ years background in a similar position in the MEP Industry is will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Marketing mix
  • The experience of building targeted content
  • Sound understanding of communication practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • We are an MEP firm with our headquarters in Lagos. We are searching for a Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager to be in charge of all cost estimating, cost planning, cost research, cost monitoring, controlling, and measuring.You are also responsible for the planning and administration of the project’s life cycle from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs.
  • Prepare cost analysis based on engineering estimates, architectural drawings, materials required and labor involved.
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
  • Prepare cost plans to enable the project team to produce practical designs for all projects by liaising with engineers, architect and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and assist in negotiating tenders from contractors and subcontractors.
  • Communicate regularly with project team and subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.
  • Control all stages of projects within the predetermined budget and expenditure.
  • Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
  • Supply all relevant information to the Project Manager for review at the specified interval set.
  • Commercial vetting of subcontractor tenders and contracts.
  • Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly

Required Skills and Experience

  • BSc Degree from a reputable university.
  • Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Quantity Surveying experience with an MEP Company
  • Candidate must be a certified member of NIQS, QSRBN and other Professional bodies.
  • In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Construction Costing Softwares
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for a better solution.
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.

  • Minimum of 5 cognate years of building construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills are also essential.
  • Analytical skills are necessary in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project.
  • Mathematical and budgeting skills.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
