The governor of Kogi, presents cars to lawmakers and judge

On Friday, Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, gave legislators and judges in the state a number of automobiles of various makes, models, and brands.

In addition, the governor presented three brand-new firefighting vans to the state’s fire service in Lokoja and 25 ambulances to local governments.

 

Umar Yusuf, the speaker of the State House of Assembly, received a Jeep and two back-up vehicles, while the majority leader, his deputy, and the other 22 members each received one automobile.

In a similar vein, nine vehicles were sent to the court to be given to judges.

During a ceremony held at Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja, Governor Bello informed the recipients that the purpose of the gesture is to motivate them to do better in their various roles serving the state.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude for their efforts and dedication to the state thus far.

According to a breakdown of the 25 ambulances that were dispersed, three ambulances were sent to the three senatorial districts’ referral hospitals, three ambulances were sent to Kogi Specialist Hospital, and one ambulance was assigned to each of the 21 LGAs’ Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs).
