American singer Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the highest-grossing music tour in history.

Guinness World Records officially confirmed this new record on their website this Tuesday.

The ‘Eras’ tour has not only broken records but also marks the first music tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue.

Starting in March 2023, the tour is scheduled to conclude in December 2024 after a total of 151 shows across the globe.

As of now, according to Pollstar, the tour has amassed $1.04 billion (£840 million) in earnings.

This achievement surpasses the previous record set by the farewell tour of British icon Elton John, which spanned five years and concluded earlier this year, accumulating $939 million (£749 million) over 328 shows.

It’s important to note that Taylor Swift also recently set another Guinness World Record, becoming the first musician to reach billionaire status solely from music earnings.
