Following a protracted illness, the Kebbi State Government formally announced his passing.

The public was informed of his passing on Thursday via a statement issued by the state governor’s spokesperson, Ahmed Idris.

The Executive Chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area, Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, passed away.

The public was informed of his passing on Thursday via a statement issued by the state governor’s spokesperson, Ahmed Idris.

Early in the morning, Bello, a devoted public servant, passed away at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) in Sokoto.

“I regretfully and sadly announce the passing of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Maiyama Local Government’s Executive Chairman.

“He passed away at UDUTH Sokoto early this morning following a lengthy illness.” It said as much.

The announcement went on to say that the public would eventually be informed of the specifics of his funeral preparations by the government.
