The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), a Federal Government agency, has launched an extensive computation initiative targeting verified pensioners and the Next-of-Kin (NoK) of deceased pensioners.

Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, the Executive Secretary of Pension TAD, revealed this in a statement communicated by Mr. Gbenga Ajayi, PTAD’s Head of Corporate Communications, in Abuja on Tuesday.

The project aims to address grievances regarding unpaid gratuity and death benefits reported by pensioners and the NoK of deceased pensioners, years after their verification.

Ejikeme highlighted that the meticulous scrutiny of NoK documents contributes to delays in their payments, ensuring accuracy in beneficiary selection and preventing erroneous disbursements.

She also cited delayed responses from organizations where the deceased pensioners were previously employed as a reason for payment delays.

“The expanded project will meticulously review and classify all verified NoK files and address cases of unpaid gratuity, ensuring eligible beneficiaries receive their entitlements,” Ejikeme stated.

The Directorate has urged the Next-of-Kins of deceased pensioners, already verified by PTAD but awaiting payments, to submit their complaints to nokcomplaints@ptad.gov.ng. This will facilitate thorough investigation and resolution of their concerns by the project team.
