According to information released by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), 1,912 corps members were sent to Bauchi State as part of the orientation exercise for the 2024 Batch ‘A’ stream 1.

This was disclosed by the state’s NYSC coordinator, Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, to media on Wednesday in Bauchi.
She emphasized that the program disapproved of late-night travel and asked potential corps members to stay away from it for their own safety.

Along with requiring them to follow the camp’s appropriate clothing codes, Rifkatu also warned them that disobeying the rule would have consequences.

She stated that prospective corps members will be able to register at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo, in the state’s Ganjuwa Local Government Area starting on February 15 and ending at midnight on February 18.

“The corps members have been advised to strictly adhere to all camp rules and regulations,” Yakubu stated. “Defaulters will be sanctioned by the scheme’s existing rules.” Registration dates have been issued to the corps members.
The organizer went on to say that the orientation exercise will conclude on March 6 and that the prospective corps members’ swearing-in ceremony would take place on February 20.
