Tinubu Nominate Ali Nuhu as MD of Film Corporation

Renowned Kannywood actor Ali Nuhu has been named Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation by President Bola Tinubu.

Additionally, the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy has ten new heads of agencies appointed by the President, whose approval has been granted.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, made this revelation public on Friday, January 12, 2024, in Abuja.

According to the presidential spokesman, Tinubu gave the new appointees instructions to carry out their responsibilities with the utmost professionalism, dedication, and patriotism.

The individuals appointed include Dr. Shaibu Husseini, Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board; Tola Akerele, Director-General of the National Theatre; and Nuhu, Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation.

Aisha Adamu Augie, director-general of the Center for Black and African Arts and Culture, Obi Asika, director-general of the National Council for Arts and Culture, and Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan, chief conservator of the National War Museum, have also been appointed.

Additional appointments include Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana, artistic director of the National Troupe of Nigeria; Chaliya Shagaya, director-general of the National Institute of Archeology and Museum Studies; and Ahmed Sodangi, director general of the National Gallery of Art.

The other two are Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed, Director-General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, and Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, Director-General of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation.
