Federal Government Launches Recruitment for Over 30,000 Positions in Key Paramilitary Agencies

Objective:
To boost Nigeria’s internal security and emergency response capabilities by recruiting physically fit, mentally sound, and professionally qualified individuals.

- 🇳🇬 Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) – 10,000 slots
- 🔥 Federal Fire Service (FFS) – 10,000 slots

- 🛡️ Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) – 5,000 slots

📌 Available Job Categories
Positions are divided into three main cadres:
1. Superintendent Cadre
These are senior-level positions requiring a university degree or equivalent. Some roles also demand specialized qualifications in medicine, engineering, or law.
Examples include:
- Superintendent of Corrections (MBBS required) – NCoS only
- Assistant Superintendent I – FFS (for law and engineering graduates)
- Assistant Superintendent II – Open to all four agencies for candidates with a degree or HND in any discipline
2. Inspectorate Cadre
This mid-level category is suited for individuals with ND, NCE, or professional certifications.
- Inspector – Available in NCoS, FFS, and NSCDC (for registered nurses and midwives only)
- Assistant Inspector – Open to all agencies; applicants must hold an ND or NCE in a relevant field
3. Assistant Cadre
This cadre includes support roles and general duty positions, further divided as:
- Assistant II (General Duty): Requires a minimum of five SSCE/NECO/GCE credits, including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings
- Assistant III (Artisans, Drivers, Mechanics): Requires four O’Level credits along with relevant Trade Test Certificates (e.g., Motor Driver Mechanic, Auto Electrician)
This level is ideal for school leavers and skilled workers with trade certifications.
✅ General Requirements
All applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth
- Possess the required educational qualifications
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Be physically and mentally fit, with a medical certificate from a recognized hospital
- Be of good character, with no criminal conviction or financial misconduct
- Meet the minimum height of:
- 1.65 meters for males
- 1.60 meters for females
- Male applicants must have a chest measurement of at least 0.87 meters
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
