Job Description:
The position of Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan will become vacant in November 2026. In line with relevant University laws and Acts, the Governing Council has commenced the process for appointing a substantive Vice Chancellor for the institution.

Requirements:
Candidates must:

• Be a distinguished Professor with at least 10 years experience at that rank
• Possess proven academic and administrative leadership qualities
• Be a person of integrity and sound character
• Not be more than 65 years old by 1st November, 2026
• Command national and international academic respect
• Demonstrate clear vision for the growth and development of the University
• Enjoy excellent physical and mental health
• Have the ability to attract funding and foster unity within the university community

Terms of Appointment:
• Single tenure of five (5) years
• Salary and conditions of service as approved for Federal University Vice Chancellors in Nigeria
