We are currently recruiting for a Senior Researcher to lead comprehensive research and evaluation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in technical and financial proposal writing, especially for World Bank and donor-funded projects, along with strong expertise in public sector programming.

In this role, you will manage complex research assignments, mentor junior staff, and translate insights from data into strategic recommendations that guide policy and program development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, methodology development, and execution of large-scale research assignments for World Bank and other development agencies.
• Supervise qualitative and quantitative data collection, ensuring high methodological standards and ethical compliance.
• Develop persuasive technical and financial proposals for international bids, ensuring they meet donor requirements and align with Seismic’s goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with government ministries, donor agencies, and private-sector partners to support data collection and project engagement.
• Represent Seismic at high-level meetings, stakeholder consultations, and public workshops.
• Analyze and present findings in clear, evidence-based reports, policy briefs, and presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Offer strategic, data-driven recommendations that influence program design and policy decision-making.

Requirements

Education:

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related discipline.

Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years leading research and evaluations for World Bank or other international development organizations.
• Demonstrated success in writing technical and financial proposals for donor-funded projects.
• Proven track record in public sector programming, policy analysis, and capacity-building efforts.

Skills:

• Strong command of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as STATA, R, and data visualization platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings to senior government officials and donor representatives.
• Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver on tight timelines.
