BUA Cement Plc emerged from the merger of Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) Plc and Obu Cement Company Plc (formerly Obu Cement Company Limited). Incorporated in 1962, CCNN commenced operations in 1967 with a production capacity of 100,000 mtpa at its plant in Kalambaina, Sokoto State.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full Time
Industry: FMCG (Manufacturing)
Reports To: Head, Tax
Internal Relations: All Departments
External Relations: External Auditors, FIRS, State Internal Revenue Services
Job Summary:
Ensure effective tax compliance to support the BUA Group’s business structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance and accruals for Company Income Tax, Education Tax, Withholding Tax, VAT, Personal Income Tax, and other statutory taxes.
- Ensure transfer pricing compliance and timely submission of related party transaction reports.
- Conduct reviews and reconciliations of general ledger entries to identify tax implications and implement corrective measures.
- Handle income tax accounting, deferred tax reporting, and effective tax rate optimization.
- Assess tax clauses in contracts/agreements to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Review fixed asset additions and documentation for CAFA processing; liaise with CAFA consultants.
- Supervise the Tax Officer and provide relevant training.
- Respond promptly to FIRS queries and ensure proactive compliance to avoid penalties.
- Manage tax audits effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Tax.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Must possess professional certifications: ACCA / ACA / ACTI.
Skills:
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to build strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of logistics and company operations.

Job Title: Tax Officer
Location: Nigeria

External Relations: External Auditors, FIRS, State Internal Revenue Services
Job Summary:
Support the tax compliance function across the BUA Group business structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- File VAT returns on Tax ProMax for all subsidiaries.
- Prepare Withholding Tax schedules for timely filing and remittance.
- Submit Annual PAYE returns across all applicable states.
- Facilitate the issuance of Tax Clearance Certificates for both subsidiaries and staff.
- Address all queries from State Internal Revenue Services and ensure timely resolution.
- Process and remit monthly PAYE payments.
- Maintain organized tax records, including receipts and correspondence.
- Regularly update the company’s fixed asset schedule.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Tax Manager or Head, Tax.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Professional certification is an added advantage.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal and negotiation capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Job Title: IT Support Lead

Job Summary:
Lead daily IT operations, ensuring efficient support across departments. Oversee IT infrastructure, resolve technical issues, enforce IT policies, and optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise IT support and helpdesk functions; ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Maintain servers, networks, and enterprise applications.
- Implement IT security protocols in line with GDPR/NDPR standards.
- Manage third-party IT services, procurement, and upgrades.
- Draft and enforce IT policies to enhance performance and security.
- Monitor systems and manage IT assets effectively.
- Train users on IT systems and tools.
- Use automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline IT operations.

Qualifications:
- B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in web development and automation.
- Skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Python.
- Experience with CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal).
- Familiar with automation tools (Zapier, UiPath) and web analytics (Google Analytics).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and version control systems (Git).
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Google Analytics are a plus.
Skills:
- Technical know-how in infrastructure and system troubleshooting.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and user support skills.
- Project management and organizational capabilities.
- Familiar with IT tools like Jira, Trello, and Asana.

- Build and manage unified networks across BUA International’s subsidiaries.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance; resolve connectivity issues.
- Manage hardware/software (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and access controls.
- Conduct regular audits and optimize network performance.
- Manage cloud and hybrid network environments (AWS, Azure).
- Maintain network documentation and SOPs.
- Provide technical support and training.
- Engage vendors and service providers for equipment procurement.
- Ensure regulatory and industry compliance (GDPR, ISO, etc.).
- Support disaster recovery and continuity planning.
- Travel internationally as required.
Requirements:
- B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in network administration/engineering, preferably in FMCG.
- Relevant certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CISSP, PCNSE, etc.
- Experience with tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark.
- Proficient in cloud networking and security best practices.
Skills:
