Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator
Location: 100% Remote / Work From Home
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts between 8:00am EST – 10:00pm EST
(2:00pm – 4:00am WAT) - Primary shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm EST
(2:00pm – 10:30pm WAT) - Shift assignment based on company needs
Job Summary
We are seeking Patient Care Coordinators to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role involves managing calls, scheduling appointments, supporting basic medical billing, updating patient records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for patient inquiries and appointment scheduling
- Manage inbound and outbound calls professionally
- Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently
- Assist with basic medical billing and insurance-related tasks
- Maintain and update patient records with high accuracy
- Prepare, organize, and manage paperwork and documentation
- Support reporting, data interpretation, auditing, and compliance-related tasks
- Track and understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to performance
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication standards
- Collaborate effectively with a remote team using digital tools
- Multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Support patient retention and convert inquiries into scheduled appointments
- Contribute positively to a patient-focused, purpose-driven team
Qualifications
- Degrees in Accounting, IT, Communications, Social Work, Business Administration, Medical Billing & Claims, Health Information Management, or related fields are highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Experience using Electronic Medical/Health Records (EMR/EHR) systems is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
General Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills (advanced level preferred)
- Reliable internet connectivity (mandatory)
- Personal device/laptop (mandatory)
- Strong computer literacy
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
Role-Specific Skills
- Confident verbal and written communication
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools
- Prior experience in call centers, medical offices, or front-desk roles (preferred)
- Ability to interpret data and support reporting
- High attention to detail in documentation and record keeping
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and apply KPIs for performance improvement
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Proactive, dependable, and able to work under pressure
