About the Hotel

Protea Hotel by Marriott Lagos Kuramo Waters offers beautiful beachfront views along Kuramo Beach, providing a serene getaway for both business and leisure guests. The hotel features 60 luxurious rooms equipped with in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and turn-down packages.

Facilities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a gym, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, and other modern amenities designed to ensure a comfortable and connected stay.


Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to department managers and executive leadership within the hotel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly meetings, take minutes, and distribute reports accordingly
  • Maintain and manage the Executive Director’s itinerary
  • Schedule meetings and follow up on departmental deliverables
  • Answer phone calls, compile data, and conduct basic analysis
  • Prepare reports, presentations, communications, and expense reports
  • Handle office duties including printing, mail distribution, purchasing, and receiving
  • Liaise with external vendors for operational supplies and repairs
  • Coordinate departmental rotas to ensure proper staff coverage per shift
  • Ensure compliance with Lagos State policies related to hotel operations
  • Monitor interdepartmental activities and enforce driver movement records
  • Supervise staff and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
  • Assist the HR Manager with recruitment, staff welfare, and other HR-related duties
  • Follow hotel policies, safety, sanitation, and service standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Management or Hospitality
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel and MS Word)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
