Position: Visual/Graphic Designer

Location: Remote (United States)

This position plays a vital role in shaping Civil Science’s visual identity by producing creative assets for both internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities

As a Visual/Graphic Designer, you will:

• Lead visual branding initiatives across the company, including proposals, marketing materials, digital campaigns, and conference collateral
• Translate complex engineering content into clear, engaging visual designs
• Create polished layouts and graphics for print and digital platforms (infographics, presentations, flyers, banners, slide decks, etc.)
• Develop consistent marketing materials customized for various teams and project types
• Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure visual content aligns with company objectives
• Support digital initiatives, including web graphics, social media assets, and animations/GIFs
• Partner with the marketing team to shape strategic visual communication

These responsibilities require a balance of creative excellence and a strong understanding of how design supports effective business communication.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

• A minimum of 2 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within the A/E/C industry
• A strong portfolio showcasing versatility and core design fundamentals
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams
• Strong capability to translate technical concepts into clear visual storytelling
• A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience (preferred)
