1. Primary School Teacher

Job Description

– We are looking for a committed and passionate primary school teacher to join our educational team.
– Your responsibilities will include delivering lessons that develop pupils’ theoretical and practical skills, creating engaging and effective learning materials, and evaluating pupils’ progress.

Key Responsibilities:

– Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
– Design and facilitate group activities to enhance learning.
– Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual pupils.
– Develop a positive and supportive learning environment.
– Monitor pupils’ behavior and enforce classroom rules.
– Evaluate pupils’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
– Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress.
– Participate in school events and staff meetings.
– Continually update teaching skills through professional development.

Qualifications:

– A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field.
– A valid teaching license.
– Proven work experience as a primary school teacher.
– Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in a reputable school.
– Strong understanding of teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
– Excellent communication and organizational skills.
– Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
– Ability to manage a class effectively and handle challenging behaviors.
– TRCN certification and computer literacy an added advantage.

School Caregiver Job Description:

– Pestalozzi Montessori School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Caregiver to join our team.
– The ideal candidate should have genuine love for children and be willing to work closely with them, providing the necessary care and support to ensure their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
– The School Caregiver must be patient, empathetic, and capable of working effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist children with daily activities, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, addressing any health or safety concerns promptly.
• Plan children’s daily activities and programs of instruction.
• Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary, adhering to established protocols.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to the children, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Assist in managing children’s, behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques, modelling, commendations among others to promote appropriate behavior.
• Mediate conflicts between children, helping them develop effective conflict resolution skills.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress, health, and well-being thro approved channels by school management.
• Work closely with teachers, school counselors, and other staff to coordinate care and support for the children.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of children’s care, incidents, and communications with school management.
• Offer one-on-one assistance to children who require additional help with their studies or activities.
• Support children during extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and participation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Requirement: NCE
• Experience Working with Children: At least 3-5 years of experience in a caregiving or educational role in a preschool.
• TRCN is an added advantage
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• Empathy and Patience: Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with children, understanding their needs and concerns.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain detailed records and manage multiple responsibilities.

2. School Minder Job Description

– We are seeking a caring and dependable School Minder who is passionate about children.
– The ideal candidate will engage kids in learning through play, using toys and games to promote curiosity, creativity and early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:

o Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
o Feed children and ensure their comfort at all times.
o Help children maintain good hygiene.
o Change diapers and soiled clothing for infants and toddlers.
o Research, create, and organize engaging activities to help children explore and learn.
o Develop schedules and routines to ensure a balance of physical activity, rest, and playtime.
o Observe and identify signs of emotional or developmental concerns in children and report them appropriately.
o Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.
o Keep surroundings neat and tidy at all times.

Qualifications:

o Applicants must be between 20-25 years old.
o Must possess at least an SSCE/NECO Certificate with a credit in five subjects including English language.
o Proven childcare work experience with references.
o Must be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
o Must be organized and time conscious.
o Proximity to the job location is key.

3. School Receptionist Job Description

– The School Front desk officer serves as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors, and staff at Pestalozzi Montessori School.
– This role is pivotal in maintaining a positive and professional environment within the school’s front office.
– The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a keen attention to details ensuring smooth daily operations and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

o Greet and assist pupils, parents, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
o Manage and route incoming telephone calls, emails, and messages to appropriate staff members.
o Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
o Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and managing school records.
o Schedule appointments and meetings for school staff and administration.
o Handle correspondence and documentation related to pupils’ admissions, records, and attendance.
o Process visitors’ check-ins.
o Provide information and assistance to pupils and parents regarding school policies, procedures, and events.
o Assist with pupils arrivals and departures, including coordinating with the transportation department as needed.
o Act as a liaison between the school and external stakeholders, including vendors and community organizations.
o Coordinate with various school departments to facilitate smooth operations.
o Manage and update school communication platforms as required.
o Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and protocols.
o Assist in managing emergency situations by providing support and information to emergency responders.
o Maintain accurate records of school-related documents and communications.
o Prepare and generate reports as requested by school administration.

Required Qualifications:

o Graduate of any discipline, Degree/HND.
o Past experience as a front desk officer or administrative support role, preferably in an educational setting is an added advantage.
o Must be a female.
o Age range; 22–35 years old
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software.
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
o Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
