Scholarship Details
The Federal Bilateral Education Scholarship (BEA) is administered by the Ministry of Education and offers opportunities in the following regions:
Undergraduate Studies:
Available in Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria.
Postgraduate Studies:
Available in Russia (for those with Russian first degrees), China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.
Fields of Study
Undergraduate Level:
Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (limited slots), Pilot Engineering, Neurology.
Postgraduate Level (Master’s & PhD):
All fields of study are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Applicants
Must have at least seven distinctions (A’s and B’s) in the WASSCE/WAEC, including English and Mathematics.
Certificates must not be older than two years (2022 & 2023 for non-African countries; 2023 for African countries).
Age Requirement: 17–20 years.
Postgraduate Applicants
Must hold a First Degree with at least a First Class or Second Class Upper Division.
Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
Age Requirements:
Master’s: Up to 35 years
PhD: Up to 40 years
Must provide:
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Proof of employer’s consent (if employed).

Important Notes for Applicants
BEA countries are non-English speaking. Applicants must complete a mandatory one-year language course in the language of their host country.
For Hungarian scholarships, applicants can select up to two fields of study and must apply on the official website (available until January 15, 2024).
For Russian scholarships, postgraduate applicants must have earned their first degree in Russia.
All required documents must be uploaded in PDF format to the relevant application portal.
