We are currently recruiting for the following position:
Job Title: Service Graduate Trainee
LOCATION: Nigeria
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain an understanding of the Caterpillar Service business and its practices.
- Engage in a structured training program that includes classroom-based technical training and hands-on “on-the-job training” at the workshop or customer’s machine work site, referred to as “Field Service”.
- After successfully completing the structured training period, transition to a role as a Workshop or Field Service-based Engineer in one of the service departments’ branches.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
1. Participate in a structured training program in both classroom and workshop settings.
Performance standards include:
- Successful completion of a self-development program within 18 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a non-technical program.
- Successful completion of internal secondments in the service department’s workshop areas, including General bay, Engine bay, Hydraulic bay, Transmission bay, Electrical bay.
- Maintenance of a daily training diary, signed by the trainee’s mentor and submitted monthly to the training department.
- Adherence to company safety and workshop standard regulations at all times.
2. Maintain regular contact with your training mentor. Performance will be considered satisfactory when daily communication with the mentor is upheld.
